PRO's : Small, light, relatively cheap, very practical for family portraits and tripod-photography in general. It works out of the box with many models (have used it on the D70s, D60 and D90 without a problem) the only requirement is to set the shutter to "remote" mode



CON's : range. it can be a bit temperamental and seems to work better from in front of the camera. I've had to walk up to the camera, press the remote, and return (which is close to the "focus on run" method using only the camera's timer)

This little remote has a lot of suprises in it. Not too long before I sat to type this review, I was testing it out. With a D90 it doesn't matter where you stand with it, it'll still activate the shutter. It's perfect for those who want to do longer exposures than what your camera allows. I do a lot of night shots so I knew I needed something to get me beyond that limitation. A friend of mine pointed me this way and I have to say, I'm glad he did.



This little guy is also perfect for self portraits since you can't be behind the camera and focus on yourself. Works great with the self timer. Should you own a Nikon that can work with this, I highly reccomend you buy it.

This was bought for my Nikon D5000, and it works great out the tiny little box. You need to remove the plastic off the battery then then change the cameras release mode setting in the menu. Take a picture. Done. This does autofocus as well. It is about as long as a womans index finger and does what it says it will do.

I have a nikon S60 and this case is perfect for using when going out with friends because of its small size. Basically it is a barebones small case that can fit in a pocket, yet still provide significant padding to my extremely fragile and moody camera. When I go on vacation, I'll also bring a larger case because this case only provides one compartment and therefore, it gets tricky when bringing extra memory cards or batteries. Often I will still bring this case along during excursions on vacation because of its size. Overall its a great non-obtrusive extemely portable case. EDIT*** I didn't realize this case says large... just wanted to clarify that imo, its not large compared to most other camera cases (esp. those with multiple pockets, zippers, straps).*****

Holds the camera very snug. I use the belt loop to hold a second battery. It is tight enough that the battery will not slip out. I find that it's so snug that you couldn't even fit a spare SD card down in this case, but the outside of the case is a bit bulky as to add a little protection during a fall without any real padding. Recommended buy.

I recently picked up an S710 and didn't want to take it anywhere without having a case... so after looking around I decided on this one.



The first time I placed my S710 in the case it took a bit of force, the case was so snug. After leaving the camera in the case for a week or so, and removing and replacing it several times it fits a bit more easily but it's still tight enough that even with the flap open the camera won't accidentally slide out.



The only thing that would've made this case better is a clip of any sort, as opposed to a loop. But I would've happily paid twice what I did for this, so definitely pick it up!

I recently received this camera and I am very disappointed with the quality of photos that is coming out of a 10mp camera. I had an 8mp sony previously and the photo quality was much better. The camera often takes fuzzy pictures and for the price and the features that it boasts this should not be happening. I take a lot of photos and have used many brands of cameras, this is my first experience with Nikon and I will not be purchasing a Nikon again. By far my favorite cameras have been Sony's and that is what I will be going back to after this huge disappointment. The touchscreen is ok but many other camera brands have those. When you take the battery out to charge this camera you have to reset the date/time and all of your settings (ie if you turned the sound off, photo quality, etc) EVERY TIME YOU TAKE THE BATTERY OUT TO CHARGE IT! This to me is ridiculous for the money and definitely not something I am satisfied with.

I know that if you are reading this then you have probably spent time reading other reviews. I was a little skeptical about buying the camera because of those reviews. But i went with my instincts and wanted to try it out for myself. Boy am I glad that I did. Sure the picture quality on the camera's screen is a bit grainy. But as you transfer it to a computer you will see how outstanding the picture quality actually is. The touch to focus is amazing for taking portraits. I love this camera and would recommend either this one or the newer model (Nikon S70). I used to work for Best Buy in the camera department so I know that the S70 is an amazing camera. If you have time swing by the store and check it out. Or just trust me and buy either that camera or this camera. I guarantee that you will be completely satisfied with the pictures that you are taking. Hope this helped. :)

We paid $250 for this camera thinking it was worth it because of the rep. of nikon, but the picture quality was equal to a $99 camera that we bought from walmart couple years earlier which is not a popular brand. We are thankful that the company we bought it from allowed us to return it. We ended up going with a sony camera.

I received this camera as a gift, and this is my third digital camera. I previously owned a Canon Powershot and an HP Photosmart. In comparison to the previous two that I owned, this one beats them hands down. I really like this one for several reasons. It is a very small and compact camera that can easily fit into a purse or a pocket. The camera body is sturdy, and the finish is sleek and beautiful. The touch display is easy to read and understand, and quite simple to use. For camera users not used to operating a camera by touch display this can take a little getting used to, but I like it because it eliminates so many confusing buttons, and you can see your photos so much clearer. The display icons are relatively simple to understand once you've read the manual and know what each of them means. I love the picture quality even without the flash, and I love the fact that you can do a bit of retouching of your photos right there on the camera itself. Any further retouching can be done with your favorite photo editing program.



With a lithium ion battery this camera has great battery life. I really like the fact that this camera doesn't use alkaline batteries, as you get a much longer battery life with the lithium ions. The included battery charger is very compact, and nice to use for travel. I would highly recommend getting a good and sturdy case for this camera, and also an LCD screen protector to protect the touch screen from smudges and scratches. This is a great camera for beginners and experts alike, and I am very happy with it. It was relatively simple to use right out of the box, but I would recommend careful reading of the manual before prolonged use. Overall, a great product! You won't be sorry that you bought this gem of a camera!

We loved this camera. It's a great size and was great for our trip to Italy. But it slowly died due to the common "lens cover error" that so many are also commenting on. It would do that sometimes and then it got to the point where I can't turn the thing on anymore. We had it for 4 years, so maybe I shouldn't complain. But I am going to spend less money this time, knowing that these things just don't last.

I have had this camera for 8 months. I read the instruction manual and educated myself on this camera before using it. In the first month of owning it it went in to Nikon to be serviced because the "wonderful" touch screen kept locking up & without the touch screen working properly, you have no camera to use! Servicing the camera was a pain and Nikon customer service was not very helpful, Nikon had the camera for 2 months out of the 8 months I have owned it. Once I got it back, it seems the picture quality is even worse than before it went in. Nikon cannot answer why this is happening. I have a crappy camera and I'm out a good chunk of money for it :(

I have to be perfectly frank, the picture quality of this Nikon s60 camera sucks. Pictures are blurred majority of the time, the shutter time is a lot slower than the manufacturer states. I am so frustrated with this camera and all the problems I have had, so my best advice to you is purchase anything but the Nikon. Do your home work, read the reviews and make your best decision on what will work best for you. If you want to deal with blurred pictures consistently, slow shutter time, a touch screen that works when it wants to and poor customer service this is the camera for you.

Within 15 minutes of playing with this camera for the first time, I was ready to send it back. I'm not a professional, but I know a bad picture when I take one. After messing around with ISO settings, white balance, scenes, etc... the pictures still looked grainy. I primarily take indoor photos and the camera can't cut it.



It is kind of cute; it's a bit bulky feeling for a slim digital camera and not heavy enough in my opinion. The pink color is prettier on the computer... lol it's uglier in person. Turns on and off quickly; takes about 3-5 seconds to take a picture.



I absolutely HATE the touch screen and I'll never get a touch screen camera again !! The stylus is too tiny for my hands and I'm not crazy about having finger smudges all over the place.



I also have sadly realized that buying a camera over the computer unless you are absolutely positive it's the one you want IS A VERY BAD IDEA !! If you end up not liking the camera and want to send it back, you lose some of your hard earned money because of restocking.

I really enjoy useing this camera. It is very simple to use and takes great pictures. I love the look and design of it and the instructions are simple. I am not the best person at useing technology in any form but I have NO trouble with this at all
